My First Post!

So... I have been thinking of starting a blog for a really long time now. I've also been wanting to really get involved with my children and reach their hearts, and I think blogging will keep me accountable. It will (hopefully) remind me to take pictures and slow down on the cleaning and focus on my parenting. Especially now that I'm a single mom. I want to prove that a single mom CAN raise decent and godly children. 

I also want to remind everyone, I am essentially a first generation Christian in my family. I was not raised in a faith-based home. Sure, my mom taught me about God and Christianity and took me to church for a few months when her and my dad got back together after a separation, and I do believe that was the beginning of my journey, but it was not a big part of my life like I hope for it to be with my children. I know I'll screw up along the way, probably daily, but I just have to keep going.
